Bunker is a cultural NGO organisation in Ljubljana where we are developing different connections to our local and international communities through art and culture. Cuba is culturally a very rich country. I am interested in researching specifically Havana's cultural and artistic scene and understanding the ways people in Cuba perceive culture and arts, how people working in the cultural field build ties to their communities, how artists use cultural spaces and how they inhabit public space. Is public space open to various kinds of artistic expression, is it an open space for culture? I am curious to learn how the cultural sector is operating in a practical way, how artists are organised, what kinds of artistic expressions one can encounter in the city of Havana.
