Fatih AYDOĞDU

(1963, Turkey) lives and works in Vienna and Istanbul. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Istanbul and graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Aydoğdu is a conceptual visual artist, designer, curator and sound artist, focusing on concepts of media aesthetics, migration & politics of identity and linguistic issues. He took part in numerous exhibitions throughout Europe, Asia and USA. He is a member of the Curatorial Board of 'Amber Platform.' He curated many exhibitions including: Commons Tense (Electriciteitsfabriek, Den Haag, NL, with Ekmel Ertan, 2012), Grenzpegel | Pressure Level - Creativity and Controversies of Migrant Music Scenes (Vienna, Austria, 2009 | 2010), Boundary Signal (Open Space - Zentrum für Kunstprojekte, Vienna, 2009), The Bone of the Tongue (MedienTurm), Diagonale Graz (Austria, 2005). He has been working on the curation and concept of amberFestival Istanbul since 2012. He published the first Turkish Media-Art & Theory Magazine 'h@t' in 1998. Aydoğdu's texts are published in various books & magazines internationally.
