Born and raised in Casablanca, Mehdi Azdem obtained a diploma in Economics and Management at Mohammedia University. He afterwards obtained a Master in cultural engineering at Ben Msik-Casablanca University, where he currently prepares his bachelor about the Moroccan cultural field. He worked on several cultural and artistic, national and international projects with different NGOs. He is also a human and cultural rights activist. He is the co-founder of a Human rights student club, and an association dedicated to promoting reading in public space. He is currently the managing director of Racines.
