Selen Çatalyürekli
Selen Çatalyürekli (1987) is design researcher, documentarist and visual artist. She received her Bachelors degree from Sabancı University’s Social and Political Science program and her Masters degree in Industrial Product Design program from Istanbul Technical University. Her areas of focus are design for public space, transdisciplinary design in public spaces, participatory design, social rights issues, ecology and urban movements and visualization of urban issues and memory spaces. She took part in various international organizations and documentary projects. Professionally, she has been working as project coordinator, director, videographer, photographer and workshop instructor. Her works are displayed in art venues and cities in Turkey including: Sakıp Sabancı Museum, İstanbul (2017); Boğaziçi University, İstanbul (2016), Documentarist- Documentary Film Days, İstanbul (2015); Salt Galata, İstanbul (2014- 2015); Chamber of Architects in İstanbul (2014); 8. Tüyap Art Fair, İstanbul (2008).
