Ester Alba
Ester Alba Pagán is Professor in the Department of Art History of Universitat de València and coordinator of Silknow -team History-heritage (textiles) a European Commission-funded research project on silk production and trade in Europe in early modern times. She is Director of the Chair "Design’s Archive" in University of Valencia & School of Art and Design of Valencia. She is Director of Master in Analysis and authentication of works of art and in the Master in Mediation and Education through art. She has directed several doctoral theses on heritage, art history, museology, catalogs of cultural objects and new technologies of cultural heritage. Currently engaged in Project H2020 EULAC Museums and Community (2016-2019), and she is Director in cultural project Readings Museum itineraries in terms of gender. He has been a member of the Governing Council of the Institute of Modern Art of Valencia (IVAM) and a member of the expert committee of the new Museum of the Royal Collections of Spain (National Heritage). Her line of research has been focused for almost twenty years on the study and analysis of cultural heritage, museography and art criticism. She paid special attention to contemporary painting and heritage linked to the exchange and dissemination of ideas and knowledge and design.
