Boriša MRAOVIĆ

The research is a series of amateur anthropological reflections on origins and consequences of uneven geographical development. Its motivation and primary sources are in Palermo. The reflections are constructed around a large number of informal conversations and observations I had over one month during January and February 2020 during my stay in Palermo. Due to my very limited knowledge of Italian, secondary research was mostly limited to English sources. Sarajevo, the city where I am from and where I am based, is used as a point of non-systematic comparison and as an additional material for evaluation of the broader counters of the subordinate, peripheral and marginal position.
