My secondment in Cetona will consist in two parts. I started my research on the psychological aspects of the inner emigrant phenomenon and its connection to public space and social inclusion/exclusion. The philosophical concept of the inner emigrant refers to someone who opposes the repressive regime in his country but does not actively rebel, nor do they choose to emigrate abroad. In a wider sense an inner emigrant is also a person who feels he/she does not fit into society, feels alienated from it and chooses not to show it or actively fight against it. In the first part of my secondment, I read literature on social exclusion, social identity, empowerment indicators and use of public space. I also planned the empirical part of my research which I will conduct in the second part of my secondment with the help of Citema.
