The idea behind my research is to work on gentrification and its consequences for the development of those districts concerned and the daily lives of their inhabitants. And more particularly on the evolution of space for debate, exchange, cultural activities, of collaborative work and so on, in the different stages of gentrification. So I would like to study the evolution of the community fabric of cultural activities, of spaces of solidarity and so on, in gentrified districts.
Over and above the increasing uniformity of modes of living, of the renovation habitat and of theĀ public space, what are the consequences for political debate? What place is there for diversity in gentrified spaces? What are the consequences for the circulation of ideas? What evolution can be found in shared activities in these contexts?
