Secil Yaylalı Caione

Secil Yaylalı Caione is a visual artist/educator with a background of City planning, Industrial Design and Arts. She works on the field of socially engaged art and realizes participatory art projects with different social groups such as forced migrants in Diyarbakir and Ramallah, psychiatric patients in Novara, teenagers in Alexandria, Berlin, Barcelona, Istanbul, street vendors in Turin, etc. In each project she creates an environment that supports collaborative production according to the specific needs/wills of participants. She is the co-founder of PASAJ artist initiative based in center of Istanbul that collaborates with social communities and hosts project exhibitions/workshops. She teaches basic design and contemporary art in Istanbul Technical University.
