Haris SAHAČIĆ

Circle of Quintessence

Haris Sahačić has selected and analyzed scientific sources of practical and theoretical narratives that have influenced actual but also historical academic polarizations relevant to questions of nature's soundscape, environmental sound pollution and ether as "public "space between sensors of transmitters and receivers. This secondment led to formulate relevant research questions in an official letter addressed to the 28 Research institutes gathered in ZRC-SAZU in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to create a communication network; experimentally, to build one DIY device for enhancing WIFI. Moreover, he created a concept of the sound archive for storing audio recordings of urban life infrastructure instalments that are constantly generating nonionizing radiation in the public space of Ljubljana, which he filled with sounds of electromagnetic fields that have been recorded with special negatively electrified microphones. Finally, to be able to acoustically illustrate the historiography of soundscape changes and develop protocols for possible scientific analysis of developments on how Ljubljana may sound in future, one system for archiving sounds was conceptualized and filled with authentic sound recordings of locations in Ljubljana (day, night, on a rainy day, in the morning, the centre of the city, suburb, etc.).
