Aleksandra Zińczuk

In this research, Aleksandra Zińczuk is working on an essay dedicated to some parallels between the history of Polish borderlands and other European countries. She is researching how Slovenian society is dealing with the representation of history. What are the narratives of official and governmental structures, and what are the dominant research contexts? How are the theme of the Holocaust and ethnic crimes reflected in cultural and public life (exhibitions, art, educational, cultural activities, etc.)? In an interdisciplinary research model, she aims to test Cesare Lombroso's hypothesis, who created an anthropological theory that assumed the existence of a "born criminal". According to that law theory of criminology, certain types of personality/physiognomy that tend to become persecutors/criminals can be identified. The question is, how sociology, law science and psychological concepts, culture and literature can prevent similar crimes in the future?
