The main purpose of her research is to find out what are the conditions of creating art (especially murals and graffiti) in public space in Valencia. How do graffiti and murals change the cultural landscape of the city centre, do they also have political and social connotation or are they mostly decorative element of the tourist city? The Spanish legislation on public space is quite strict, but the use of public space is in the hands of city councils. Valencian city council to some extent and under certain conditions allows artistic murals. Nevertheless, street art aesthetics has, to some extent, moved to commissioned work on private homes and museums.
