María CABALLER TARAZONA

The aim of the research is to study the characteristics of each profile cluster of cultural consumers and their cultural habits in Ljubljana. It explores, amongst other issues, whether private or NGO cultural and artistic organisations are more capable of fostering an active relationship with their audiences, than with public institutions. Following this line of inquiry, the study investigates whether private organisations and NGOs are acting as a supplement, or a substitute to public institutions, with regard to cultural and artistic production.

Results of this research could be useful for policymakers to design policies aimed to promote cultural consumption, both through cultural institutions and use of public space. In addition, for the cultural institutions, it could be useful to know real trends in the cultural habits and profiles of potential audiences.
