My name is Elisa Colletti, I am a lawyer and Ph.D student at the University of Palermo in "Human Rights: Evolution, Protection and Limits", and I am developing a co-supervision program with the University of Valencia.
My field of research is about the issue of no property damages, which is a matter of Civil law, that affects human rights too, because it analyzes themes like dignity and rights to life and health, that are involved in the process of compensation system.
The research field of my Ph.D. thesis belongs to the area of European Private Law. Specifically, I’m formulating a hypothesis of a system of protection of the person in the field of compensation for damages, that have a supranational or international level.
In fact, even though the individual Member States of the European Union demonstrate a propensity to perfect a person's protective system that aims at the full restoration of the same from any form of moral damage, I think that only an operation of European harmonization of civil law in this area would allow to guarantee a full and total protection of the individual.
